Replacing the Main Power Button, Status LED, and Banana Jack
- Power off the RMX-10101/10102 by flipping the main disconnect branch breaker to off.
- If your RMX-10101/10102 utilizes a UPS to provide backup power to Phase 1 powered components, press the power button on the UPS to power it down.
- Disconnect the RMX-10101/10102 from facility power.

The diagrams in this procedure illustrate the RMX-10102 front I/O panel. If you are replacing items on the rear I/O panel or on the RMX-10101, the same procedure applies.
Equipment
- 3 mm hex wrench
- Remove the RMX-10101/10102 left side panel using the 3 mm hex wrench.
- Locate the main power button, status LED, and banana jack that you are replacing.

Unplug the appropriate I/O signal cable.
- If you are replacing the button, LED, and jack on the front I/O panel, disconnect the front I/O signal cable from the Rack Control Unit (RCU).
- If you are replacing the button, LED, and jack on the rear I/O panel, disconnect the rear I/O signal cable from the RCU.
- Disconnect the EMO loopback cable or the EMO button cable from the I/O signal cable.
- Remove the main power button, status LED, and banana jack from the rack, along with the I/O signal cable.

Install the new main power button, status LED, and banana jack to the I/O panel.
- Main power button
- Status LED
- Banana jack
- EMO loopback cable
- I/O signal cable
- Connect the new main power button, and status LED to the new I/O signal cable.
- Reconnect the EMO button cable or the EMO loopback cable to the new I/O signal cable.
- Connect the new I/O signal cable to the RCU.
- Reinstall the RMX-10101/10102 left side panel using the 3 mm hex wrench.
- Once installation of the new main power button, status LED, and banana jack is complete, you can reconnect facility power to the RMX-10101/10102, and power on the rack.
