NI provides the Traditional NI-DAQ (Legacy) driver to support developers with legacy code needing to run on 32-bit versions of Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8. NI-DAQmx replaced Traditional NI-DAQ (Legacy) in 2003. NI strongly recommends using NI-DAQmx for new designs and migrating existing Traditional NI-DAQ (Legacy) applications to NI-DAQmx. Please review the Getting Started with NI-DAQmx guide for more information on migration.
64-bit versions of Windows are not supported. These versions of Windows are only supported by the newer NI-DAQmx driver.
