Operating Color Numeric Controls

When you set a color numeric control to any mode other than indicator mode, you can change its color value from the keyboard or with the mouse.

You select the color with the aid of a color palette that you can display next to the control. This color palette contains a set of pre-defined standard colors. If the desired color is not included in the pre-defined colors, you can select a button which displays a second dialog box where you are able to specify an arbitrary RGB value.

You can display the color palette from the keyboard by pressing the spacebar key, or with the mouse by clicking anywhere within the client area of the control.

You navigate the color palette by selecting the desired color with the mouse, or by navigating through the color items with the arrow keys.

If the control mode of a color numeric control is hot or validate, a commit event is generated when you select a new color from the color palette.
