CxLn

Advanced Analysis Library Only

AnalysisLibErrType CxLn (double xReal, double xImg, double *outputReal, double *outputImg);

Purpose

Calculates the natural logarithm of a complex number. CxLn obtains the resulting complex number using the following formula:

(outputReal, outputImg) = loge(xReal, xImg)

where e = 2.178 . . .

Parameters

Input
Name Type Description
xReal double-precision Real part of the complex number whose natural logarithm is computed.

Default Value: 1.0.
xImg double-precision Imaginary part of the complex number whose natural logarithm is computed.

Default Value: 0.0.
Output
Name Type Description
outputReal double-precision Real part of the resulting natural logarithm.
outputImg double-precision Imaginary part of the resulting natural logarithm.

Return Value

Name Type Description
status AnalysisLibErrType A value that specifies the type of error that occurred. Refer to analysis.h for definitions of these constants.
