Operating Numeric Slide Controls

When you set a numeric slide control to any mode other than indicator mode, you can change its value from the keyboard or with the mouse.

You can operate a numeric slide control using the digital display or using the scale. If you operate the digital display, the same rules apply as if you were operating a numeric control.

You can operate the scale part of the numeric slide from the keyboard by pressing the up or down arrow key to increase or decrease the value displayed in the control, or you can operate it with the mouse in the following ways:

If the control mode of a numeric slide control is hot or validate, a commit event is generated when you press the up or down arrow keys, when you drag the needle or slider and then release the mouse button, or when you type in a new value in the digital display and then press the <Enter> or <Tab> key or click on another object with the mouse.
