Numeric Slide Controls Overview

Use numeric slide controls to input or view numeric values, for example, to input or display a voltage value. Numeric slide controls have many different graphical representations, including knobs, meters, thermometers, gauges, and dials.

Numeric slide controls include a numeric scale representing the range of values which can be displayed by, or input into, the control. Depending on the particular style of numeric slide, the scale can be linear or circular.

Optionally, numeric slides also include a digital display that operates like a numeric control; the value of the digital display is always synchronized to the value indicated by the scale.

The following figure consists of a sampling of some different numeric slide styles.
