Christoph Wimmer - Regional Program Manager for Embedded and Control Accounts
Christoph possesses extensive knowledge on how to develop solutions for application challenges in the biomedical and aerospace and defense industries. He also has vast experience designing, prototyping, and deploying embedded solutions with LabVIEW Real-Time, LabVIEW FPGA, and CompactRIO platforms. Additionally, he closely follows industry trends and is constantly looking for ways to help clients reduce time to market for new products and replace aging equipment by leveraging the latest technologies. He is also a member of the Washington Biotechnology & Biomedical association and the IEEE Industry Applications Society. Christoph joined NI in 1998 after graduating from Graz University of Technology in Austria with a master’s degrees in electrical engineering. He was the area sales manager for southwest Germany until 2008 when he moved to Seattle to focus on industrial measurement and control applications in Washington, Oregon and Northern California. As a regional program manager for embedded and control accounts at National Instruments, Christoph Wimmer makes application recommendations for NI real-time and NI LabVIEW FPGA technologies in the areas of advanced feedback control; system simulation in research modeling; control design and implementation; and control system validation and testing. He also works with OEM customers to specify and implement commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) system controllers for rapid prototyping using a graphical system design approach to meet their unique requirements.
