Texas Instruments Uses NI PXI to Reduce FM Transmitter Characterization Cost and Time

National Instruments supplies flexible software and modular RF instruments for fixed and mobile WiMAX test. The combination of PXI Express RF instrumentation and a multicore, software-defined test platform delivers benefits such as the following:

  • Measurement times that are three to five times faster than traditional instrumentation

  • R&D grade measurement accuracy (with typical residual EVM of -45 dB at 3.5 GHz)

  • Continuous frequency coverage from 85 MHz to 6.6 GHz

  • Test coverage for both base station (BS) and subscriber station (SS) equipment

  • Optional support for standards such as GPS, WLAN, and more
