1. What is a CLD Summit?

A CLD Summit is a free conference that lasts anywhere from 1 to 3 days and features the local community’s Certified LabVIEW Developers and Architects to:

  • Network and socialize with other LabVIEW programmers and NI engineers
  • Learn from the technical presentations of peers and experts
  • Exchange best practices and successful solutions for your LabVIEW Applications

CLDs and CLAs help shape the event, from selecting the theme to defining the agenda. Given the opportunity to present their solutions to challenging problems, the Certified LabVIEW community members come together for discussion and the chance to learn from each other’s implementations.

The CLD Summit is a complimentary benefit of attaining Developer level certification. An active CLD or CLA certification is required for attendance. LabVIEW Developers with expired certifications should recertify before the event. Dates and registration details for both summits will be emailed directly to Certified LabVIEW Developers and Architects in the area.

If you are not yet a CLD, get certified before the summit! Email certification@ni.com to register for an exam near you.

2. Why should I get certified and attend?

NI certification demonstrates you have the skills needed to create high-quality applications with NI software platforms and gives customers, peers, and employers confidence in your abilities. The Certified LabVIEW Developer exam is the second step in the three-part LabVIEW certification process.

"I got certified to enhance my learning and marketability. Preparing for certification and then later interacting with other certified professionals, I end up learning things I wouldn’t have otherwise.
My customers and employers don’t know enough about LabVIEW or TestStand to be able to judge my skill level. A certification makes it easy for them."
- Sudhir Gopinath, Magnet Automation, CLA, CTD, CPI

For LabVIEW Developers and Architects, the CLD summit is an important opportunity to meet with local colleagues and technical peers to have high-level conversations around an agenda full of advanced presentations.

"l look forward to attending the CLD Summit for several reasons. lt is a great opportunity to view presentations from industry leaders, colleagues, and peers on a variety of realworld solutions and you're very likely to see something quite interesting that you've never considered before. The presentations, technology, and networking are unique to these summits, and only surpassed by Nl Week, but the great thing about these summits is that it is a much smaller and focused audience."
- John Giannangeli, Bolder Software, CLA
