The LabVIEW Tools Network offers a single location to search, browse, and purchase NI and third-party add-ons and apps. These products make you more successful by expanding the power of the NI platform. Each product is certified Compatible with LabVIEW, demonstrating that it is field-tested and integrates well with NI software and hardware products. Add-ons and apps range from general-purpose tools to highly specialized products built by industry experts.

The LabVIEW Tools Network is integrated directly into the LabVIEW development environment. Using VI Package Manager, you can browse, manage, and evaluate add-ons without closing the development environment.

Deploy—Automated Deployment Toolkit

The Deploy application provides one-click build, powerful setup authoring, and automated deployment capabilities straight from the LabVIEW project. It is designed to streamline your LabVIEW application’s deployment by creating single installer and professional software releases for your customers. It also automates the tedious and error-prone tasks often surrounding deployments. In addition, it reduces the developer burden on subsequent application releases with a simple-to-integrate Automatic Updates API—as a developer, you stay in your domain (the integrated development environment) and your users remain in their domain (the application).

Raima Database API for LabVIEW

The Raima Database API for LabVIEW provides a database management solution specifically designed to provide local database management for applications deployed on NI CompactRIO and NI Single-Board RIO devices. The Raima database is optimized for the limited resources on embedded targets and offers live, real-time response and in-memory and hybrid operation modes. The native LabVIEW API provides programmers an intuitive interface including SQL queries to quickly and easily design data management functionality, share data between targets without external database servers, and conduct unified queries across all the targets in a given system. The Raima Database API for LabVIEW is the first to deliver relational data management locally on real-time CompactRIO devices.

RF Studio—RF Record-and-Playback Software for the NI USRP™

With the Averna RF Studio record-and-playback software, algorithm designers can record and reproduce real-world environments in the lab and test environments. Many real-world conditions that affect performance—such as busy, urban canyons; dynamic environments; atmospheric variations; and limited-availability transmitters—are difficult to simulate and reproduce using typical techniques and simulations. The Averna RF Studio for the USRP (Universal Software Radio Peripheral) offers a simple and cost-effective way to overcome this problem. With RF Studio on your laptop, your USRP becomes a field-ready, record-and-playback solution that quickly and accurately captures the signals and impairments of interest. Simple yet powerful tools such as the Noise Figure view let you optimize your recorder settings for the best performance. At any time or location, you can use the Spectrum, Histogram, and Power views to play back and analyze your valuable real-world recordings to accelerate your testing and improve your applications.

Chameleon—Configuration-Based Data Logger

Chameleon software is an intuitive configuration-based data acquisition tool, powered by NI LabVIEW system design software, for sensor measurements with the NI CompactDAQ platform. This software has a simple and straightforward user interface you can use to easily build a system to acquire static and dynamic signals without any programming. Chameleon provides acquisition and logging of mixed measurements including voltage, current, vibration, strain, and temperature. You can view live data in action, review logged data, and export data for analysis in LabVIEW, NI DIAdem, or Microsoft Excel. Additional features include calculated channels, user-defined alarms, and triggered acquisition from analog or digital signals. With Chameleon, you can configure single-chassis systems or combine and synchronize multiple chassis for high-channel-count applications. You can even integrate with LabVIEW to automate data logging while taking advantage of custom user interfaces.

modeFRONTIER for LabVIEW (mF4LV)—Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and Advanced Optimization Algorithms

mF4LV combines LabVIEW technology with a modeFRONTIER project making it possible for data acquisition, control, and HIL systems to be fully integrated within the design process. mF4LV is a light installation of modeFRONTIER connected to the LabVIEW development environment. It helps you quickly reach a desired response from the hardware or system under test. The advanced algorithms of modeFRONTIER, the optimization and integration platform by ESTECO, can easily be exploited for the HIL optimization process. The software offers a simple wizard to add the optimization capability to LabVIEW projects. mF4LV automatically modifies the values assigned to the control parameters, achieving the desired response from the hardware or system under test. mF4LV delivers better results by perfecting the tuning of the monitoring parameters and significantly reducing calibration time.
