With the addition of the NI VeriStand training course, National Instruments offers instruction for embedded software validation applications such as hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing. NI VeriStand is a real-time testing software tool that you can use in embedded software validation applications such as HIL testing, rapid control prototyping, and model-in-the-loop testing, as well as real-time test cell applications such as dynamometer and servo-hydraulic testers. You can deploy NI VeriStand applications to NI real-time hardware such as NI PXI and CompactRIO targets. In addition, with NI LabVIEW software, you can create application-specific plug-ins for NI VeriStand to ensure that the NI HIL platform can adapt to your needs.

1. NI VeriStand for Real-Time Test

You can configure real-time testing applications with the NI VeriStand software environment. Through training, learn how to use the software’s out-of-the-box features for easier test sequence creation and reuse and dynamic pass/fail test analysis. In addition, with an NI VeriStand test system, you can perform real-time simulation, hardware I/O, and alarming. You can also create sophisticated real-time stimulus profiles to stimulate a device under test and log its responses to a variety of real-world conditions.

Out of the box, NI VeriStand provides the general functionality needed for a real-time testing application; however, you can easily customize the environment.
