1. Overview
The National Instruments PCB Design Fundamentals Series is your free resource on the Internet for learning about prototyping Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs). This selection of resources includes an introduction to terminology, design best-practices and additional resources on prototype fabrication.
The series is divided among a number of in-depth detailed articles that offer HOW TO information on the important concepts and details of PCB Design.
For design examples, we will use the NI Multisim schematic capture, and NI Ultiboard layout environments to discuss topics such as layout and routing, and will reference Sunstone Circuits and Screaming Circuits, for the fabrication and assembly of prototypes.
