Could have expanded on direct connection with OPC  - Oct 2, 2014

The tutorial focuses on using OPC with OPC server and skips over direct OPC connection. Are we to assume that the procedure is the same?

A bit rushed in places but a good starting point  - Jun 11, 2014

Thanks for this, it gives a nice whistle-stop tour of the technology. It would be nice though if people mentioned what OPC stood for, especially in a tutorial.

VERY NICE.....  - Dec 17, 2013

Thanks for such a nice presentation cum demo..... After 16 min of webinar I am able to connect my Siemens plc with labview....

Could be half as long  - Feb 16, 2011

Unfortunately, the first 8 minutes are a LabVIEW advertisement. The second half of the webcast is excellent. That is where he finally starts talking about Connecting LabVIEW to OPC.

what about other OS ?  - Jul 23, 2009

Does all this technology work on other OS. It is really contraddictory to talk about real-time when running on a non-real time OS such as Windows. So I wonder if there is a way to work with labview and PLC using a real real-time OS, such as Solaris or Linux SLERT or RedHat MRG .
