Building on information taught in LabVIEW Core 1, LabVIEW Real-Time Application Development teaches students how to develop the different elements of a real-time application using PXI or CompactRIO hardware.
Students then progress to the LabVIEW FPGA Module Course to learn how to design, debug, and implement applications using the LabVIEW FPGA Module and NI reconfigurable I/O (RIO) hardware. This course is optional for those who are using Scan Mode with their CompactRIO system.
Machine Vision and Image Processing
For machine vision and image processing applications, students progress from LabVIEW Core 1 to:
Students learn the fundamentals of machine vision, the components that make up a machine vision system, and the various resources for locating appropriate cameras, lenses, and lighting equipment. Students also experience using NI vision software and NI image acquisition hardware to acquire and quantify images.
Wireless Sensor Networks
Students learn LabVIEW fundamentals in LabVIEW Core 1, and then apply the knowledge and techniques learned to NI LabVIEW Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) Module Pioneer software.
