As an alternative to the graphical interface, you can also configure your switches in the end-to-end text-based configuration environment. The first of these text-based configuration windows is under the Channels/Exclusions tab where you can use the Alias feature to add a layer of abstraction to your channel names. This is especially useful in larger applications, which may consist of several switches that have been combined to form large multiplexers or matrices. In the window above, the alias UUT_IO_4 has been assigned to column 7 of the IVI switch named SampleMatrix2 and represents the fourth unit under test. You can also enter comments for each channel.
