Using and Troubleshooting the GPIB-VXI/CChanging the Resman Delay of the GPIB-VXI/CThe GPIB-VXI/C is factory configured such that Resman will run immediately following bootup (usually about 2 seconds). When a VXI chassis is powered up, the instruments perform a self test. Sometimes, instruments require more time to perform their self tests before Resman can run. Therefore, Resman may not see all the instruments in the chassis. For this reason, you may need to increase the Resman delay to allow time for the instruments to complete their self tests. This section will show you how to change the Resman delay. To change the Resman delay, you must modify the non-volatile configuration through the serial interface (refer to the section, Setting up Hyperterminal for the GPIB-VXI/C). With the serial cable connected and Hyperterminal running, power on the chassis. You will see the output of Resman followed by a prompt.
