Product Updates

There are two different ways to find updates for your National Instruments software. The preferred method is to use NI Update Service.

NI Update Service

NI Update Service checks for critical updates to your National Instruments software and drivers. There are two ways to access NI Update Service:

1. Launch NI Update Service directly by navigating to Start » Programs » National Instruments » NI Update Service
2. Launch NI Update Service from MAX by navigating to Tools » NI Update Service. This option is only available in MAX 4.7.0 and later

Product Update Wizard

The Product Update Wizard in MAX can be used to locate updates for your National Instruments software. Note that this feature is no longer supported, and is only available in MAX versions 4.6.2 and earlier. Follow these steps to launch the wizard:

1. Launch MAX by navigating to Start » Programs » National Instruments » Measurement & Automation
2. Select Tools » National Instruments Product Updates from the MAX menu bar
