Verifying a Serial Port

LabWindows/CVI Test

The following test writes to the serial port and reads from the port written to.

1. Open the example in LabWindows/CVI found in x:\sample\rs232\serial.prj, where x is your CVI directory.

2. Hook up your modified cable to the serial port you wish to test, select that port in the example, and write to then read from that port. If the test is a success, your port was configured correctly.
