Description and Solution

• This error can occur for various reasons. Keep in mind that it will occur if you make a GPIB or VXI call and don't have the appropriate driver installed. (If it's a GPIB call, make sure that the NI-488 driver is installed and working; if it's VXI, do the same for the NI-VXI driver.)
  
  
• The error also occurs when you have many, many sessions open without knowing. Be sure to close all sessions in your code. To check this,
  1) Run your code until you get this error
  2) once you have the error, stay on the same front panel
  3) You will have a VISA Session control on the panel
  4) right-click on the control (VISA Session)
  5) at the bottom of the pop-up menu, choose Open Sessions
  6) If you have numerous open sessions (the image below demonstrates), this is your problem.
  
  
  7) You just need to remember to close the VISA Sessions at the end of your code. (The code below shows how to wire into VISA Close and close sessions. Put this at the end of your LabVIEW code.)
