Calibration Executive Updates for Version 2.0

The following links provide update information for various Calibration Executive 2.0 calibration procedures.

E Series Calibration Procedure ver 1.0

This update contains corrected test limits for the E Series product line. These files update a number of E Series test limits. Specifically, the limits for the 6023E, 6024E, and 6071E families of data acquisition products contained errors that would sometimes cause a calibration to fail even though the product was in specification.

To install this update, download the compressed file and extract its contents into the Calibration Executive\Procedures\E Series\Limits directory that is found in the Calibration Executive directory.

Update for PCI-6034E/6035E

E Series Calibration Procedure ver 2.0

This update contains corrected test limits for the PXI-6070E. Specifically, the limits contained errors that would sometimes cause a calibration to fail even though the product was in specification.

NI5911 Calibration Procedure

This update replaces version 1.0 of the NI5911 calibration procedure. In the original procedure the bandwidth test did not test 99MHz when using the scope calibrator or signal generator in manual mode. Also, in the bandwidth test, the 50kHz/100kHz reference wasn't being reset for AC Coupling.

NI 4060 Calibration Procedure

This update replaces version 1.0 of the previous NI 4060 calibration procedure. The original procedure adjusted the NI 4060 with the autozeroing option enabled. This meant that the end user must enable autozeroing after calibration if they wish to meet National Instruments published specifications. The new procedure adjusts the NI 4060 without enabling autozeroing. This provides better measurement results when the end user does not enable autozeroing.

NI 4350/4351 Calibration Procedure

This update replaces version 1.0 of the NI 4350/4351 calibration procedure. The original procedure incorrectly adjusted the excitation current on the NI 4350/4351 to 20uA instead of 25uA. Because of this, NI-DAQ 6.8.x and later may not recognize the 435x board and may report -10401 errors.

To install this update, download the compressed file and extract its contents into the Calibration Executive\Procedures\NI4350 NI4351\ directory that is found in the Calibration Executive directory.

In addition, there is a utility that will restore the EEPROM of the 4350/4351 to a correct working state if you already adjusted the 4350/4351 with the original procedure. Only use this utility if you have already adjusted the 4350/4351 with version 1.0 of the NI4350 NI4351 Procedure.

To use this utility, download the compressed file and extract its contents into the Calibration Executive\Procedures\NI4350 NI4351\ directory. Ensure that your 435x device is configued to Device #1 in Measurement and Automation Explorer, then run Fix435xEEPROM.exe that you extracted. This utility only works on Device #1.
NI 4350/4351 Fix Utility

SCXI-1100 Calibration Procedure

This update replaces version 1.0 of the SCXI-1100 calibration procedure. The original procedure only worked in slot 1 of the SCXI chassis. If used in another slot, the 'Daq Op' step of the Verify sequence returned an unknown device error.

To install this update, download the compressed file and extract its contents into the Calibration Executive\Procedures\SCXI1100\ directory that is found in the Calibration Executive directory.

SCXI-1120D Calibration Procedure

This update replaces version 1.0 of the SCXI-1120 calibration procedure. The original procedure did not work correctly with the SCXI-1120D.

To install this update, download the compressed file and extract its contents into the Calibration Executive\Procedures\SCXI1120\ directory that is found in the Calibration Executive directory.

4451/4452/4551/4552 (DSA) Calibration Procedure

This update replaces version 1.0 of the 4451/4452/4551/4552 calibration procedure. This update allows GPIB control of a function generator. The only function genenerator with both an IVI instrument driver and the necessary specifications is the HP-3325B.


To install this update, download the compressed file and extract its contents into the Calibration Executive\Procedures\DSA\ directory that is found in the Calibration Executive directory.
4451/4452/4551/4552 Update Download

Download the Agilent 3325B IVI Instrument Driver
Do not use the Beta version of the driver. To install this driver, execute ag3325b.exe that you download.

Fluke 5500A/5520A Instrument Driver

This installs the IVI instrument driver for the Fluke 5500A/5520A. If you intend to use the Fluke 5500A/5520A, ensure that the accuracy is sufficient to calibrate the artifact. In general, the Fluke 5500A/5520A does not have sufficient accuracy to calibrate the NI4060 or NI4350/4351.

To install this driver, download the compressed file and extract its contents into a temporary directory. Run Setup.exe or Setup95-NT40.exe (they are the same installer). If you need to transfer these files to another computer via floppy disk, copy Setup.exe because it can easily fit on a floppy disk. If Setup.exe fails to install, run Setup95-NT40.exe instead.
Fluke 5500A/5520A Driver Download

TestStand 1.0.3 Engine for Windows 2000/ME

This installs the TestStand 1.0.3 engine. If you use Calibration Executive in Windows 2000 or ME, you will need this update.

To install this driver, download the compressed file and extract its contents into a temporary directory. Run SetupTSEngine.exe. You will need to overwrite the TestStand installation in your Calibration Executive\TestStand directory. After installing, reboot your computer for the changes to take effect.
