The Popular Vote:

Collect the most votes for your project and win.

  • First Prize: $1000 USD
  • Second Prize: $750 USD
  • Third Prize: $500 USD
Step 1:Submit your completed project before 11:59 PM (CDT) May 31, 2013.
Step 2:Share the URL for your project submission with your friends and colleagues via e-mail, Facebook, or any other means.
Step 3:Encourage them to vote for your project by “liking” your submission before 11:59 PM (CDG) July 15, 2013. Don’t forget to remind them that the “like” button is at the bottom of your entry.

The Critics Vote:

Submit the most outstanding and innovative LabVIEW Student Design Competition submission in the eyes of NI engineers to win the grand prize.

  • Grand Prize: Two members from each of the top four selected projects will be flown to Austin, Texas, to attend NIWeek 2013. One of those projects will win $2,000 USD and be recognized at the Graphical System Design Achievement Awards dinner.
Step 1:Submit your completed project before May 31, 2013.
Step 2:NI engineers will pick the top four projects and notify the participants before August 8, 2013.

Planet NI Young Entrepreneur Award:

This special award recognizes students in emerging countries looking to design solutions and a potential business that can improve the quality of life and bring prosperity to their local communities.

  • Prizes: Planet NI will select the top two projects from submissions in this category and fly one participant from each project to Austin, Texas, to attend NIWeek 2013. The First Prize project will win $1,000 USD and be recognized at the Graphical System Design Achievement Awards dinner. The Runner-Up project will receive $500 USD.
Step 1:Submit your completed project before 11:59 PM (CDG) May 31, 2013. Be sure to mark your entry with the “Planet NI” category.
Step 2:Planet NI will select the top two projects and notify the participants before August 8, 2013.

Local Prizes:

If you're a student participating in any of the countries listed below, you are also eligible for additional deluxe local prizes. The National Instruments local office reviews your submission and notifies you if you win a local prize.
