As vice president of the partner program, Tony Vento leads the NI partner efforts including the NI Alliance Partner Network, which consists of more than 1,000 industry-leading technology companies that help customers create solutions through integration, consultation, and tools based on the NI platform. As an integral part of the NI ecosystem, these partners ensure customer success. The program received the 2016 Vendor of the Year Award from the Control Systems Integrators Association (CSIA) and the 2016 Innovative Best Alliance Practice Award from the Association of Strategic Alliance Professionals (ASAP).
Vento joined NI in 1986 as the company’s first applications engineer for LabVIEW software and then was the first district sales manager. He managed sales in Europe and Japan. He oversaw worldwide support including a specialty in real-time applications. Vento also started systems engineering at NI.
Vento holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and computer science from the University of Colorado, graduating summa cum laude, and a master's degree in business administration in a special technology program from The University of Texas at Austin. He also serves on the Engineering Advisory Board at the University of Colorado.
