This document suggests material to review and read before coming to a LabVIEW Core 1 class.

1. Introduction

LabVIEW Core 1 does not assume any prior LabVIEW experience or knowledge. However, if you are interested in getting the most out of the course, below are some resources to help familiarize yourself with the software and hardware that is going to be covered in class.

The Software Development Method document is designed to introduce you to the software development method used throughout the course in all exercises. By using the software development method, your code is more likely to be successful, readable, scalable, and maintainable.


LabVIEW Core 1 contains several lessons on using LabVIEW to communicate with hardware. If you are not familiar with data acquisition or instrument control, read the following documents for an introduction.
