Sensors Plug&Play (TEDS) Architecture
Sensors Plug&Play, based on the IEEE 1451.4 (TEDS) standard, brings plug-and-play capabilities to transducers. With plug-and-play technology, you can store a TEDS directly on a sensor. TEDS-compatible measurement systems can autodetect and automatically configure these “smart sensors” for measurement, reducing setup time and eliminating transcription errors that commonly occur during sensor configuration.

With Virtual TEDS technology, you can configure traditional analog sensors (electronically using binary files. You can use each electronic file to store the identification, configuration, and calibration information for an individual sensor. In most cases, these files are stored in a database where you can easily download them and use them to configure a sensor for measurement.
