Features

PXI-1470 Support software adds support to NI-RFSA for the Phase Matrix PXI-1470 Vector Signal Analyzer. PXI-1470 Support requires prior installation of NI-RFSA 2.9 or later.

Supported Hardware

The Phase Matrix PXI-1470 26.5 GHz vector signal analyzer is supported in Windows 8.1 (32-bit and 64-bit)/8 (32-bit and 64-bit)/7 (32-bit and 64-bit)/Vista (32-bit and 64-bit)/Windows XP1.


1 MXI Express and MXI-4 are supported on Windows 8.1/8/7/Vista/XP, but MXI-3 is supported on only Windows XP.

System Requirements

Supported Operating Systems

PXI-1470 Support software 1.0.0 and later supports the following operating systems:


  • Windows 8.1 (32-bit or 64-bit)
  • Windows 8 (32-bit or 64-bit)
  • Windows 7 (32-bit or 64-bit)
  • Windows Vista (32-bit or 64-bit)
  • Windows XP Service Pack 3 (32-bit)
  • Windows Server 2003 R2 (32-bit)
  • Windows Server 2008 R2 (64-bit)
  • Windows Server 2012 R2 (64-bit)

Note  PXI-1470 Support software does not support Windows Server non-R2 editions.


NI recommends that you have the most recent service pack for your operating system installed.

Refer to the Phase Matrix PXI-1470 Getting Started Guide for software and hardware installation instructions.


Note  To use the PXI-1470, you must associate the modules by using the Driver Setup string. Refer to the Phase Matrix PXI-1470 Getting Started Guide for information about associating the modules.

Uninstalling PXI-1470 Support

To uninstall PXI-1470 Support, you must uninstall each of the following components using the procedure corresponding to your operating system.


  • PXI-1470 Support
  • Windows Driver Package - Phase Matrix, Inc. (PXI-1410)
  • Windows Driver Package - Phase Matrix, Inc. (PXI-1420)
  • Windows Driver Package - Phase Matrix, Inc. (PXI-1430)
  • Windows Driver Package - Phase Matrix, Inc. (PXI-1440)
  • Windows Driver Package - Phase Matrix, Inc. (PXI-1450)

For Windows XP, complete the following steps:


  1. Launch the Control Panel by selecting Start»Control Panel.
  2. Double-click Add or Remove Programs.
  3. Select the component to remove.
  4. Click Change/Remove.
  5. Click Remove to uninstall the product(s).
  6. Repeat steps 3 through 5 for the remaining components.

For Windows 7/Vista, complete the following steps:


  1. Launch the Control Panel by selecting Start»Control Panel.
  2. Double-click Programs and Features.
  3. Select the component to remove.
  4. Click the Uninstall/Change button.
  5. Select Yes from the dialog box that appears.
  6. Repeat steps 3 through 5 for the remaining components.

For Windows 8.1/8, complete the following steps:


  1. Right-click on the Start screen.
  2. Select All apps, and launch the Control Panel.
  3. Select Programs»Programs and Features.
  4. Select the component to remove.
  5. Click the Uninstall button.
  6. Select Yes from the dialog box that appears.
  7. Repeat steps 4 through 6 for the remaining components.

Note  Do not attempt to uninstall by manually deleting files.
