Distributed SCADA System - PEMEX

PEMEX Exploración y Producción (PEP) developed a distributed SCADA system to perform monitoring and control during the transportation of crude oil. More than 4,000 I/O devices are connected in the operation's interface, which is distributed across an area larger than 500 km2. LabVIEW made it possible to design the system quickly and efficiently.

Sub-Sea ROV Control - Nexans

Nexans developed a remote operated vehicle (ROV) to prepare the ocean floor for a pipeline that extracts natural gas from the North Sea. Using LabVIEW and NI PACs, Nexans developed the operation interfaces and hydraulic controls for the Nexans Spider. Nexans was able to develop a system that is rugged yet easy to maintain.

Pipeline Monitoring at the Ormen Lange in the North Sea - Bjorge

The Ormen Lange is the largest natural gas field under development on the Norwegian continental shelf. The pipeline traverses the Storegga rock slide off the coast of Norway, which is one of the longest rock slides to exist on a continental shelf.
