NI Adds PXI Modules to LabVIEW FPGA Targets You now can use NI LabVIEW FPGA software with two NI PXI timing and synchronization modules for custom, user-defined applications, including custom triggering, system timing control, multidevice synchronization, and high-speed analog counters. The new integration is possible with NI-SYNC 1.2, which is the latest version of the NI-SYNC driver software. http://digital.ni.com/express.nsf/bycode/nn0105a01 2. NI LabVIEW and Compact FieldPoint Help Build Underwater Crawler The National Institute of Ocean Technology (NIOT) used NI products to develop an underwater crawler that travels on the seabed at depths of 600 m and contains equipment for cutting, collecting, and transporting material. The NIOT launch the crawlers from a ship and controls all the operations via a local subsea PC in the crawler. The crawler acquires data from various underwater sensors, taking commands from a ship control room operator using a remote data link to the control room PC. http://digital.ni.com/express.nsf/bycode/nn0105a06 3. Eight New PXI, VXI Controllers Broaden Choices Four new PXI and four new VXI controllers from NI expand the price and performance options available on both platforms. These eight new controllers provide higher performance for analysis-intensive or loop-rate-sensitive applications and lower costs for higher volume or OEM applications. http://digital.ni.com/express.nsf/bycode/nn0105a03 4. Build Your Own Motion Control System This one-stop resource for motion control gives you access to more than 60 application notes, 150 example programs, 15 technical tutorials and white papers, 10 product selection charts, 35 customer solutions, and several selected articles on motion control from leading industry publications. http://digital.ni.com/express.nsf/bycode/nn0105a04 5. Building Formula 1 Caliper and Brake Test Dynamometers Using NI LabVIEW Computer Controlled Solutions Limited built a new type of dynamometer to match the high-speed and acceleration rates achieved by Formula 1 cars using NI data acquisition and control cards with LabVIEW. http://digital.ni.com/express.nsf/bycode/nn0105a05 6. New PXI Module Replaces DMM, Digitizer, and LCR Meter The NI PXI-4072 FlexDMM gives you the functionality of three common instruments -- a 6½-digit digital multimeter, a 1.8 MS/s isolated digitizer, and an LCR meter. This functionality brings the NI FlexDMM one step closer to providing universal measurement capability by offering you the 20 most common test measurements. http://digital.ni.com/express.nsf/bycode/nn0105a02 7. Testing Land Mobile Radios for Public Safety Use with LabVIEW Though convenient, cellular and landline communication systems often are overloaded and unusable when you need them most. Dedicated and reliable land mobile radio (LMR) systems are necessary for public safety. Recently improved with LabVIEW, these LMR systems now operate with more reliable, accurate, cost-effective, and time-efficient measurements. http://digital.ni.com/express.nsf/bycode/nn0105a07 8. Essential Technologies for Test With the increasing pace of innovation in today’s market, it is essential to find a test platform that can keep up. Consumer expectations continue to increase while recent economic downturn has only further restrained supply of resources. Learn how you can use the increased performance, flexibility, and productivity of virtual instrumentation to meet customer expectations and overcome challenges. http://digital.ni.com/express.nsf/bycode/nn0105a08 9. Tackling Software Engineering Challenges with LabVIEW LabVIEW includes built-in tools to help you efficiently create error-resistant applications. Additionally, NI offers the LabVIEW VI Analyzer Toolkit, which provides an automated code inspection and interrogation tool that every LabVIEW developer can use to reduce errors and decrease development time. http://digital.ni.com/express.nsf/bycode/nn0105a09 10. PAC Delivers Nuclear Power Plant Inspection Control Using LabVIEW Real-Time and PXI, R. Brooks Associates, Inc. designed a single flexible system to control many different inspection and maintenance tools for nuclear power plants. With the reliability of LabVIEW Real-Time, modularity of PXI, and broad range of I/O, this solution ensures operation and flexibility in harsh nuclear power plant environments. http://digital.ni.com/express.nsf/bycode/nn0105a10 Events -------------------------------------------- 1.
