Using the NI LabVIEW State Diagram Toolkit to Create Integrated Motion Control and Data Acquisition
The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas developed an integrated solution using the LabVIEW State Diagram Toolkit that combines motion control of a six-axis positioning robot with multichannel ultrasound data acquisition for evaluating bone quality in the human calcaneus (heel bone).

Student Teams Use NI Products for Autonomous Vehicle Race
The 2005 DARPA Grand Challenge subjects qualifying vehicles to a challenging desert race route without any human interaction. Among the vehicles competing this year were three built by student teams incorporating National Instruments products -- including NI LabVIEW software, PXI modular hardware, Compact FieldPoint distributed I/O, and Compact Vision System hardware.
