NI PXI Programmable Power Supplies and Precision Sources

NI PXI-4110 power supply Explore the NI PXI-4110
Learn about its innovative architecture.

National Instruments PXI programmable power supplies and precision sources offer high-resolution, high-speed, and high-power voltage and current outputs for automated test systems or lab environments. The first model, the NI PXI-4110 triple-output, programmable DC power supply, includes:

  • Three independent DC power supplies: 0 to 6 V, 0 to 20 V,
    and 0 to -20 V
  • All channels capable of delivering up to 1 A
  • 16-bit voltage setpoints and current limits, 16-bit voltage/current readback
  • Programming speeds less than 1 ms for fast voltage/current ramps
  • An additional 20 mA current range for precision source/measure capability with 400 nA current resolution

"We reduced voltage programming time in our test system from 300 ms to 6 ms with the NI PXI-4110 programmable power supply. By using interchangeable virtual instrument (IVI) software drivers, we were able to transition from our GPIB-based power supply to the PXI-4110 and achieve a 50X speed increase with no changes to our test code."
