Benchtop Test

Design and test engineers performing measurements on the benchtop require interactive measurements to quickly verify their designs and diagnose incorrect circuit behavior. Engineers often use traditional, stand-alone instruments on the benchtop to obtain always on performance and a short time to measurement without programming.

NI LabVIEW provides the best of both worlds by offering a rich set of Express VIs to minimize benchtop measurement configuration and programming while maintaining a fully customizable graphical user interface (GUI) and development environment. National Instruments LabVIEW SignalExpress, a fully interactive measurement environment based on LabVIEW, is recommended for benchtop measurements; does not require any programming; and offers a variety of built-in instrument control, analysis, visualization, and data storage features. Once you have configured and performed your measurement with NI LabVIEW SignalExpress, save the configuration for reuse or automatically convert the project to LabVIEW VIs to further customize the GUI and use with other benchtop measurement applications based on LabVIEW.
