Machine Condition Monitoring

Machine condition monitoring can help your organization stop unscheduled outages, optimize machine performance, and reduce repair time and maintenance costs. For machine diagnostics and online surveillance, National Instruments condition monitoring systems have been successfully implemented on a variety of turbines, compressors, generators, and other devices. NI systems offer simple connectivity to vibration sensors such as radial and axial proximity probes, IEPE accelerometers, and tachometers including laser tachs and keyphasors, as well as to other process variables such as temperature or dynamic pressure. NI condition monitoring platforms range from portable USB plug-and-play systems to embedded Ethernet data loggers with onboard analysis and control, all with high-speed 24-bit measurements. In addition, the National Instruments Sound and Vibration Measurement Suite with the NI LabVIEW graphical development environment provides hundreds of signal processing functions including spectrum analysis and order tracking plus automated report generation on customizable user interfaces.

Monitoring unit and sensors - NI machine monitoring systems provide a single platform with connectivity to accelerometers, proximity probes, tachometers, or keyphasors that you can customize for use with turbomachinery, compressors, generators, and reciprocating equipment.

Sensor signal conditioning - NI systems are compatible with third-party signal conditioners such as proximity probe drivers and charge amps, or you can use built-in IEPE current power and bridge completion for sensor signal conditioning.

Analog and digital I/O modules - 24-bit analog inputs with antialiasing provide industry-leading measurements for the most accurate performance. Choose from an array of more than 30 modules for your ideal system.

I/O module platform - Plug into a USB platform for a portable, diagnostic machine monitoring system or choose a rugged, embedded platform to deploy an online machine surveillance system connected to your network over Ethernet.

Analysis and processing software - Quickly get systems running and perform common analyses such as FFTs or order tracking, and implement your own algorithms and IP in a single, easy-to-use application development environment.

Networking and display hardware and software - NI systems can connect to existing maintenance and operation software, log data to custom databases, and display machine performance trends and analyzed results locally or over the Web.
