The ability to reuse previously written code is critically important to continue developing your applications. The Code Conversion Utility for LabVIEW Communications 1.0 is a stand-alone application that converts algorithms from your existing LabVIEW projects into code supported by LabVIEW Communications .
The Code Conversion Utility for LabVIEW Communications 1.0 has an intuitive user interface that guides you through the migration process. After the newly converted code is created, an HTML report is generated with a detailed list of notifications, errors, and warnings to help you understand functionality in your current LabVIEW projects that could not be fully converted to LabVIEW Communications.
This utility is primarily designed to convert algorithms, not user interfaces nor code that enables that these user interfaces. As an example, the Event Structure and VI Server are not supported language elements in LabVIEW Communications. The Code Conversion Utility for LabVIEW Communications 1.0 substitutes unsupported elements with the Placeholder Node, which reports a compile error and prevents the design from executing. You must update diagrams and eliminate all Placeholder Nodes to execute your design.
