Tilt Sensor for myRIO

Darin Kinion

The Tilt Sensor for myRIO helps you use the myRIO Student Embedded Device as a level instrument.
The Tilt Sensor for myRIO is a software add-on for LabVIEW that works with myRIO hardware and software. This add-on uses built-in myRIO Student Embedded Device accelerometers to emulate a traditional bubble level. You can use wireless or USB connectivity to monitor tilt on a host computer and display the tilt in an XY graph. You can display the Y-axis tilt of the myRIO Student Embedded Device using the onboard LEDs and demonstrate the concept of pulse-width modulation (PWM) to control LED brightness. The Tilt Sensor for myRIO also helps you match the tilt value in multiple locations with configurable level points.
