Overview

The Channel Monitor XControl is an example of how to view the level and status of multiple channels in a single view. This control will work with any waveform datatype. The data will most likely come from a data acquisition device, but will also work with other data sources such as files or ethernet.

1. Channel Monitor XControl

The Channel Monitor XControl is a tool to quickly gauge the status of multiple data acquisition channels.  This is particularly useful in medium to high channel count systems where it can take substantial time to make sure all of the sensors and cables are setup properly and that the input range is set appropriately.

Here is a short video which shows some of the basic features of the Channel Monitor XControl:

3. Software Distribution

The software is distributed as both an installer as well as a zip file.  The installer will automatically add the Channel Monitor XControl to the user.lib palette and add examples in the LabVIEW directory.  You can unzip the zip file to the LabVIEW root directory in order to get the Channel Monitor XControl to show up in the palette as well.
