Perform Basic GPIB Communication in LabVIEW using the NI-VISA API.

LabVIEW provides two APIs for GPIB communication: traditional NI-488 and NI-VISA. This VI performs simple GPIB communication with an instrument using the NI-VISA API, which is recommended for most new designs. The VI sends the user specified command and returns a number of bytes equal or less than the byte count specified.

Having trouble with GPIB and this example does not help at all  - May 15, 2015

I am having trouble with VISA write but this example does not help. The VISA resource name auto populate GPIB0::2:INSTR but I have not such GPIB address connected and I have not figure way to modify the value. Selecting the text and typing any key will delete the whole thing and I am not able to type anything there to modify it from the default. I am new to Labview and this is very frustrating.
