Choosing What Software to Install

To help you decide which software to install, refer to the following descriptions:

NI-RFmx SpecAn 2.4—Use this software to perform spectral measurements with vector signal analyzers or the RF input subsystem of vector signal transceivers (VSTs).

NI-RFmx Demod 2.4—Use this software to perform demodulation measurements with vector signal analyzers or the RF input subsystem of VSTs.

NI-RFSA 18.0—This software installation provides support for customers using vector signal analyzers or the RF input subsystem of VSTs. To program the vector signal analyzer or VST, use the NI-RFSA API. The getting started guide for your device provides information about how to install, configure, test, and begin using a vector signal analyzer or VST.

NI-RFSG 18.0—This software installation provides support for customers using RF signal generators or the RF output subsystem of VSTs. To program the RF signal generator or VST, use the NI-RFSG API. The getting started guide for your device provides information about how to install, configure, test, and begin using a RF signal generator or VST.

Modulation Toolkit (LabVIEW)—This software installation provides additional modulation scheme software functionality for customers using vector signal generators, waveform generators, vector signal analyzers, and IF digitizers.

Installation Instructions

  1. Download and Extract RFDVRSUITE201805.zip into a temporary location.
  2. Launch setup.exe

To conserve disk space you can delete the downloaded .zip file, however it is recommended that you keep the extracted installation files in case you need to add features from the distribution in the future, or plan to create your own installers using National Instruments development environments.
