Description

The NI Picture Quality Analysis software (combined with NI Video Measurement Suite) provide the hardware and software required for HDMI streaming audio/video test applications. Based on PXI Express technology, the hardware acquires 1080p60, HDCP-encrypted content and applies a library of proven measurements to objectively measure picture quality.

The NI Picture Quality Analysis software offers powerful algorithms for referenced video testing during multimedia device design and validation. For higher throughput applications, NI Picture Quality Analysis software offers real-time high-performance measurements to remove operator error and subjective tests. You can use the configurable interface to choose referenced or non-referenced testing, select pre-built measurements, set limits, and automate applications.

Installation Instructions

Install the required software for NI PQA in the following order:

1. Install any application environment (a) in which you will use NI PQA:

  • LabVIEW
  • NI Teststand

2. Install NI PQA

3.  Using the NI PQA VI templtes requires NI Vision Development Module 2011 or later or NI Vision Acquisition Software 2011 or later. You can find the latest versions of all required NI software on the National Instruments website at ni.com.

Run the self-extracting zip file.  The NI PQA installer will run once the self-extracting zip file has completed.

To conserve disk space, you can delete the extracted files. It is recommended, that you keep the self-extracting zip file in case you need to add features from the NI PQA distribution in the future.
