Installation Instructions

Perform the following steps to install LabVIEW 2018 for Mac:

  1. Open LabVIEW2018-Pro.dmg located under the LabVIEW/macOS subdirectory.
  2. Select Continue to run a program to determine if the LabVIEW Development System can be installed on your system.
  3. Follow the instructions that appear on the screen and continue to the Destination Select screen.
  4. In the Destination Select screen, select the location to install LabVIEW.
  5. After you select the destination directory, continue to follow the instructions that appear on the screen.

Perform the following steps to install LabVIEW 2018 for Linux:

  1. Log into the system as root.
  2. Mount lv2018pro-linux.iso or located under the LabVIEW/Linux subdirectory.
    • Create the directory which is the mount point: # mkdir -p /mnt/lv2018
    • Use the following mount command to mount the ISO file: # mount -o loop /mnt/lv2018
    • Change the directory to list files stored in the ISO image: # cd /mnt/lv2018
  3. On the mounted media, to run the installation script, enter the following command:
    sh ./INSTALL
    To uninstall the LabVIEW Development System on Linux, enter the following command:
    sh ./UNINSTALL
