Creating Multiplexed Signals

Version:
    Last Modified: July 20, 2020

Create a multiplexed signal by changing its signal type to Multiplexed and assigning a mode value. The NI-XNET Database Editor handles subframe manipulation behind the scenes.

    1. Configure one signal to be a multiplexer signal. In Signal Properties, change the Signal Type for the selected signal to Multiplexer.
    2. Select another signal, and configure it to be a multiplexed signal. In Signal Properties, change the Signal Type for the selected signal to Multiplexed.
    3. Change the Mode Value for the multiplexed signal to match the mode value of the multiplexer signal.
    4. Select File » Export As. The Export Database As explorer window opens.
    5. Select the database file or provide a file name, and click Save to save your changes to the database file.
