Allocate Waveform (G Dataflow)

Specifies the size of a waveform so that it can be allocated in onboard memory before loading the associated data.

The waveform generator must not be in the Generating state when you call this node.

Programming Patterns

You must set the output mode input of Configure Output Mode to arbitrary waveform or arbitrary sequence before calling this node. After this node allocates the size of the waveform to onboard memory, data can then be loaded in smaller blocks using Write Waveform.

Standard Error Behavior

Many nodes provide an error in input and an error out output so that the node can respond to and communicate errors that occur while code is running. The value of error in specifies whether an error occurred before the node runs. Most nodes respond to values of error in in a standard, predictable way.

If no error occurs while the node runs, it returns no error. If an error does occur while the node runs, it returns that error information as error out.
