Fetch (Waveform) (G Dataflow)

Last Modified: September 16, 2017

Acquires a waveform and returns data as a waveform data type.

The number of points acquired is determined by the Waveform Points parameter in Configure Waveform Acquisition.

You must run Initiate before running this node.

connector_pane_image
datatype_icon

session in

Instrument identifier from previous NI-DMM nodes.

Default: None

datatype_icon

number to fetch

Number of waveform points to return.

The total number of points that the DMM acquires is the Waveform Points parameter of Configure Waveform Acquisition.

Default: 1

datatype_icon

maximum time

32-bit integer specifying the maximum time allowed for this node to complete.

If the node does not complete within this time interval, the node returns the NIDMM_ERROR_MAX_TIME_EXCEEDED error code. This may happen if an external trigger has not been received, or if the specified timeout is not long enough for the acquisition to complete. The DMM calculates the timeout automatically.

Maximum Value

The maximum valid value for this parameter is 86400000.

Default: TIME LIMIT AUTO (-1)

datatype_icon

error in

Error conditions that occur before this node runs.

The node responds to this input according to standard error behavior.

Standard Error Behavior

Many nodes provide an error in input and an error out output so that the node can respond to and communicate errors that occur while code is running. The value of error in specifies whether an error occurred before the node runs. Most nodes respond to values of error in in a standard, predictable way.

error in does not contain an error error in contains an error
If no error occurred before the node runs, the node begins execution normally.

If no error occurs while the node runs, it returns no error. If an error does occur while the node runs, it returns that error information as error out.

If an error occurred before the node runs, the node does not execute. Instead, it returns the error in value as error out.

Default: No error

datatype_icon

session out

Instrument identifier for subsequent NI-DMM nodes.

datatype_icon

waveform data

Array of measurement values stored in the waveform datatype.

datatype_icon

actual number

Number of measured values actually retrieved from the DMM.

datatype_icon

error out

Error information.

The node produces this output according to standard error behavior.
