Configure Voltage Level (G Dataflow)

    Configures the voltage level that the device attempts to generate for the specified channel(s).

    The voltage level setting is applicable only if the output function of the channel is set to DC Voltage. The channel must be enabled for the specified voltage level to take effect.

    Channel Name Syntax

    You can input the channel name with the following options:
    • A single channel, such a 0
    • A list of channels, such as 0,1 or 3,2,1,0.
    • A range of channels, such as 0-7 or 0:7.

    The order of channels in a list is important. NI-DCPower performs configurations of multiple output channels in the order the channels occur in the list.

    Voltage level, in volts, for the output channel generation.

    The valid values for this parameter are defined by the voltage level range that is selected using the Configure Voltage Level Range node.

    Error conditions that occur before this node runs.

    The node responds to this input according to standard error behavior.

    Standard Error Behavior

    Many nodes provide an error in input and an error out output so that the node can respond to and communicate errors that occur while code is running. The value of error in specifies whether an error occurred before the node runs. Most nodes respond to values of error in in a standard, predictable way.

    If no error occurred before the node runs, the node begins execution normally.

    If no error occurs while the node runs, it returns no error. If an error does occur while the node runs, it returns that error information as error out.

    Enabling the Output Channel

    Refer to the Configure Output Enabled node for more information about enabling the output channel.

    Setting the Output Function of the Channel

    Use the Configure Output Function node to set the output function of the channel. The voltage level setting configured with the Configure Voltage Level node is applicable only if the channel is set to the DC Voltage output function.

    Current Limit Considerations

    The device actively regulates the voltage at the specified level unless doing so causes a current drop greater than the current limit across the channels' output terminals.
