Configure Pulse Bias Current Level (G Dataflow)

Configures the pulse bias current level that the device attempts to generate for the specified channel(s) during the off phase of a pulse.

The pulse bias current level setting is applicable only if output function of the channel is set to Pulse Current. The channel must be enabled for the specified current level to take effect.

Channel Name Syntax

You can input the channel name with the following options:
  • A single channel, such a 0
  • A list of channels, such as 0,1 or 3,2,1,0.
  • A range of channels, such as 0-7 or 0:7.

The order of channels in a list is important. NI-DCPower performs configurations of multiple output channels in the order the channels occur in the list.

Standard Error Behavior

Many nodes provide an error in input and an error out output so that the node can respond to and communicate errors that occur while code is running. The value of error in specifies whether an error occurred before the node runs. Most nodes respond to values of error in in a standard, predictable way.

Setting the Output Function of the Channel

Use the Configure Output Function node to set the output function of the channel. The pulse bias current level setting configured with the Configure Pulse Bias Current Level node is applicable only if the channel is set to the Pulse Current output function.

Pulse Bias Voltage Limit Considerations

The device actively regulates the current at the specified level unless doing so causes a voltage drop greater than the pulse bias voltage limit across the channels' output terminals.
