Last Modified: July 16, 2019

When performing a buffered time measurement of a digital signal, the initial sample is often invalid. The following devices detect such samples and discard them.

  • Bus-powered M Series USB devices
  • Parallel digital I/O modules connected to CompactDAQ chassis[1], CompactDAQ controllers[2], CompactRIO controllers[3] and CompactRIO Single-Board controllers[4]. Refer to Digital I/O Considerations for C Series Devices.
  • NI 661x devices
  • X Series devices
  • 1 cDAQ-9171, 9174, 9178, 9179, 9181, 9184, 9185, 9188, 9188XT, 9189, and 9191.
  • 2 cDAQ-9132, 9133, 9134, 9135, 9136, and 9137.
  • 3 cRIO-9040, 9041, 9042, 9043, 9045, 9046, 9047, 9048, 9049, 9053, 9054, 9055, 9056, 9057, and 9058.
  • 4 sbRIO-9603, 9608, 9609, 9628, 9629, and 9638.
