DAQmx Configure Watchdog Expiration States (Analog Output) (G Dataflow)

Last Modified: September 18, 2017

Configures the expiration states for an analog watchdog timer task.

The DAQmx Watchdog properties contain additional watchdog timer configuration options.

task in

task in is the name of the task to clear. Unlike the task/channels in input on some nodes, you cannot wire a virtual channel to this input.

datatype_icon

expiration states

expiration states contains the states to which to set analog physical channels when the watchdog timer expires. Each element of the array contains an analog physical channel name, the corresponding expiration state, and the output type for that analog physical channel. The units of expiration state must be specified in volts for an analog output voltage expiration state, or amps for an analog output current expiration state.

datatype_icon

physical channel

physical channel is the analog output channel to modify. You cannot modify dedicated analog input lines. The DAQmx physical channel constant lists all lines and ports for devices installed in the system.

You also can wire a string that contains a list or range of digital lines or ports to this input. If you have an array of lines or ports, use the DAQmx Flatten Channel String node to convert the array to a list.

datatype_icon

expiration state

expiration state specifies the value to set the channel to upon expiration.

datatype_icon

output type

output type specifies the output type of the physical channel.

Name Description
Voltage

Voltage output.

Current

Current output.

No Change

Expiration does not affect the port. Do not change the state of any lines in the port, and do not lock the port.

datatype_icon

error in

error in describes error conditions that occur before this node runs. This input provides standard 'error in' functionality.

datatype_icon

task out

task out is a reference to the task after this node or function completes execution.

datatype_icon

error out

error out contains error information. If error in indicates that an error occurred before this node ran, error out contains the same error information. Otherwise, error out describes the error status that this node produces.

Where This Node Can Run:

Desktop OS: Windows

FPGA: LabVIEW NXG does not support FPGA devices

Web Server: Not supported in VIs that run in a web application
