# Natural Logarithm (Arg + 1) (G Dataflow)

Computes the natural logarithm of a specified value plus 1 (x + 1).

When x is near 0, this node is more accurate than adding 1 to x then using the Natural Logarithm node. If x is equal to -1, the result is - $\infty$. If x is not complex and is less than -1, the result is not a number (NaN).

## ln(x+1)

Result of the operation.

This output assumes the same numeric representation as x. When x is of the form x = a + bi, that is, when x is complex, the following equation defines ln(x+1):
$\mathrm{ln}\left(x+1\right)=\mathrm{ln}\left(|x+1|\right)+i\mathrm{arctan}2\left(b,\text{\hspace{0.17em}}a+1\right)$
