Real-Time Design Flow

Last Modified: August 9, 2018

The programming environment provides tools that you can use to design and develop time-sensitive code and deploy that code to a real-time controller.

This suggested workflow guides you through the development process for real-time applications that you intend to run on a real-time controller.

The real-time design flow consists of three phases:

  1. Designing a Real-Time Application—Plan the design of your real-time application, such as how best to separate and prioritize tasks.
  2. Implementing a Real-Time Application Design—Write the code that makes up your real-time application.
  3. Deploying and Testing a Real-Time Application—Deploy and test your real-time application on a real-time controller.
