    Deletes items from the menu.

    connector_pane_image
    datatype_icon

    menu reference

Reference to a menu bar in a VI.

    datatype_icon

    error in

Error conditions that occur before this node runs.

The node responds to this input according to standard error behavior.

    Standard Error Behavior

Many nodes provide an error in input and an error out output so that the node can respond to and communicate errors that occur while code is running. The value of error in specifies whether an error occurred before the node runs. Most nodes respond to values of error in in a standard, predictable way.

error in does not contain an error error in contains an error
If no error occurred before the node runs, the node begins execution normally.

If no error occurs while the node runs, it returns no error. If an error does occur while the node runs, it returns that error information as error out.

If an error occurred before the node runs, the node does not execute. Instead, it returns the error in value as error out.

    Default: No error

    datatype_icon

    menu tag

Tag of the submenu from which to delete items.

Default: Empty string — Causes this node to delete all items from the menu if items is an empty string. If items has value, this node deletes the items from the top level of the menu.

    datatype_icon

    items

Identifiers of the items to delete.

This input accepts the following data types:

    • String — Tag of an existing item
    • 1D array of strings — Array of tags of existing items
    • 32-bit signed integer — Position index of an item in the menu
    • 1D array of 32-bit signed integer — Array of position indexes of items in the menu

If any of the specified items have a submenu, this node deletes the submenu and all its contents. Because menu separators do not have unique tags, you delete menu separators using their position indexes.

Default: Empty string — Causes this node to delete all items in the menu or submenu specified by menu tag.

    datatype_icon

    menu reference out

Reference to the menu bar in a VI.

    datatype_icon

    error out

    Error information.

The node produces this output according to standard error behavior.

    Desktop OS: Windows

    FPGA: Not supported

Web Server: Not supported in VIs that run in a web application
