LabVIEW Communications System Design Suite 2.1 adds new functionality to the previous release.

New Features

  • Interfaces for MATLAB® - An Interface for MATLAB (.mli) is a document in which you define calls to a MATLAB file (.m or .mlx) in your G dataflow application.
  • Create controls dynamically - Create and delete user interface controls at run time.
  • LabVIEW NXG Web Module Add-On - The Web Module adds functionality to LabVIEW NXG for creating browser-based interfaces for distributed engineering and scientific systems. Quickly visualize data based on industry-standard technologies.
  • Vision Development Module - The Vision Development Module adds functionality to develop and deploy machine vision applications.
  • LabVIEW Application Builder - Use an Application document (.gcomp) to create an application from scratch or from existing code.You can build your application into an executable that you share and run outside the development environment.
  • VI Server Nodes - The VI Server is a set of functions that allows you to dynamically control front panel objects, VIs, and the LabVIEW environment.
  • Classes and object-oriented programming - Object-oriented programming in G Dataflow uses the concepts of class structure, encapsulation, and inheritance that are common in object-oriented languages, such as C++ and Java. Using classes can improve the development of large and complex projects.

Behavior Changes

Refer to LabVIEW Communications Migration Guide for the recommended process to migrate pre-existing applications from LabVIEW Communications System Design Suite 2.0.
