Creating a Custom Palette

    The palette provides an organized hierarchy of all the objects you can add to the diagram or panel. Create a palette file (.gpal) to customize a palette category with the objects in your library. By default, custom categories are added to the Add-ons palette category.

    1. On the Document tab of a Library document, click Create palette file.
    2. In the Palette Options dialog box, select the type of palette you want to create.
      • G diagram palette—Create a palette containing objects you can drop on the diagram.
      • G panel palette—Create a palette containing objects you can drop on the panel.
      • Multirate Dataflow palette—Create a palette containing objects you can drop on a Multirate Dataflow diagram.
    3. Click OK.
    4. In the palette file, use the options on the Item tab to customize each palette item.
