Write to Spreadsheet File (Double) (G Dataflow)

    Converts a 1D or 2D array of double values to a text string and writes the string to a file.

    This node creates a text file readable by most spreadsheet applications. This node opens or creates the file before writing to it and closes it afterwards.



    A string that uses format specifiers to determine how to convert the data to characters. Examples:

    • %d — converts the data to integer form using as many characters as necessary to contain the entire number
    • %s — copies the input string

    Default: %3f — creates a string to represent the number with three digits to the right of the decimal point


    file path

    The file that this node writes to. The node opens the specified file without requiring you to call Open/Create/Replace File first.

    Default: No value — Displays a file dialog box that prompts you to select a file.


    2D data

    Data the node writes to the file if 1D data is not wired or is empty.


    1D data

    Data the node writes to the file if this input is not empty. The node converts the 1D array into a 2D array before proceeding.

    If transpose? is False, each call to this node creates a new line or row in the file.


    append to file?

    A Boolean that determines whether to add data to the end of the file. If you do not specify a file, the node creates a new file.

    True Appends data to the existing file.
    False Replaces the data in the file.

    Default: False



    A Boolean value that determines whether to transpose the data before conversion.

    True Transposes the data.
    False Does not transpose the data.

    Default: False



    A character or string of characters used to separate fields in the spreadsheet text. For example, a value of , (comma) specifies a single comma as the delimiter.

    Default: \t — single tab character

    Path to the file.
