Natural Logarithm (Arg + 1) (G Dataflow)

Last Modified: January 9, 2017

Computes the natural logarithm of a specified value plus 1 (x + 1).

When x is near 0, this node is more accurate than adding 1 to x then using the Natural Logarithm node. If x is equal to -1, the result is - . If x is not complex and is less than -1, the result is not a number (NaN).

An input to this operation.

This input supports scalar numbers, arrays or clusters of numbers, and arrays of clusters of numbers.

Result of the operation.

This output assumes the same numeric representation as x. When x is of the form x = a + bi, that is, when x is complex, the following equation defines ln(x+1):
ln ( x + 1 ) = ln ( | x + 1 | ) + i arctan 2 ( b , a + 1 )
