## Algorithm for Evaluating the Gamma Function

The following equation defines the gamma function.

$\mathrm{\Gamma }\left(x\right)={\int }_{0}^{\infty }{t}^{x-1}{e}^{-t}dt$

The following intervals for the input values define the function.

$\text{\hspace{0.17em}}x\in \Re \\left\{0,-1,-2,...\right\}$

The gamma function is related to the factorial function by the identity gamma(n + 1) = n! for integer n.
